At Illumind Software LLP (“we”, “our”, “us”), your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use VoiceMate (the “App”), a mobile application that provides voice cloning and text-to-speech (TTS) functionality powered by AI.

Please read this policy carefully to understand our practices regarding your data. By using the App, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

At present, VoiceMate does not require users to register or create accounts, and we do not actively collect or store personal data such as names or email addresses.

However, to provide core functionality (e.g., voice cloning and speech synthesis), the App may request permission to access:

a) Microphone Access

We request access to your device’s microphone to allow users to record custom voice samples for cloning purposes. These audio files are processed temporarily and not stored by us unless this feature is added in future updates (in which case this policy will be revised).

b) File Upload Access

We may request permission to access your device’s storage for uploading existing audio files to use with voice generation features. These files are sent temporarily to third-party APIs for processing and are not stored or retained by us.

We do not store any personally identifiable information (PII), metadata, or persistent identifiers at this time.

In the future, if we introduce account features (e.g., via Supabase), we may collect personal data such as:

• Name
• Email address
• User preferences

Users will be notified and required to consent before such data is collected.

2. Use of Your Information

The limited information (such as temporary audio input) we access is used solely to provide voice-based functionality within the app.

• We do not track your location
• We do not monitor your activity
• We do not store your voice or audio permanently
• We do not share your data with advertisers or third parties

The audio data is temporarily transmitted to third-party APIs strictly for processing and returned for immediate playback or download.

3. Third-Party Services and Data Sharing

We use third-party services to enable key features of VoiceMate:

• ElevenLabs API: Used for voice generation and speech synthesis.
• Play.ht API: Used for voice cloning, voice previews, and audio synthesis.

Your audio input is temporarily transmitted to these services to process requests. These services may collect log data, usage statistics, or analytics as per their privacy policies.

We do not share or sell your data with any advertising, analytics, or marketing platforms.

4. Data Security

Although we do not store user data at this time, we are committed to using appropriate technical and organizational security measures when we begin collecting personal information.

In future versions (e.g., when Supabase is implemented), we will use secure encryption (TLS/SSL) during transmission and AES-256 encryption for data at rest. Role-based access control and secure authentication will be implemented to safeguard user data.

5. Your Rights Under GDPR (European Union Users)

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), you are entitled to the following rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):

• Right to access your data
• Right to correct inaccurate data
• Right to request deletion of your data
• Right to object to or restrict certain processing activities
• Right to data portability

Since we do not currently store user data, these rights are not actively applicable. However, if we collect personal data in the future, users will have the ability to request data access or deletion via contact@illumind.software.

6. Your Rights Under CCPA (California Users)

California residents have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including:

• Right to know what personal data is collected
• Right to delete personal data
• Right to opt out of data sales

As we do not currently collect or sell personal data, these rights are not applicable. If data collection is implemented in the future, we will update this section and provide a method for California users to exercise their rights.

7. Children’s Privacy (COPPA & GDPR-K Compliance)

VoiceMate is not intended for children under the age of 18. The features offered — including voice cloning, AI-generated speech, and celebrity-style voice filters — are designed for adult users and may not be appropriate for minors.

We do not knowingly collect, use, or disclose personal information from users under 13 years of age (or under 16 in the EU and UK per GDPR-K guidelines). If we learn that we have collected personal information from a minor without verified parental consent, we will promptly delete such data from our systems.

Parents or guardians who believe their child has used the App without permission should contact us immediately at contact@illumind.software so we can take appropriate action.

8. Data Retention

We do not retain user data, audio files, or logs on our servers. All processing is done temporarily and solely for the duration of a user session.

If we implement user accounts or stored content in future updates, we will retain user data only for as long as necessary for legitimate purposes (e.g., backups, user access, support) and in compliance with applicable laws.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in technology, legal requirements, or app functionality.

All changes will be posted in the app and/or on our website. Continued use of the app after changes indicates your acceptance.
